Kurry L. Tindel, 18, of Brookland was killed in an accident about 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 29, near the intersection of U.S. 49 and Jewel Drive when an F-150 truck crossed the centerline and stuck the vehicle driven by his mother Susan Tindel.

Ryan Stevens, 25, of Jonesboro, was driving his 1983 Ford F-150 truck south on U.S. 49 when he crossed the centerline and struck a 2000 Chrysler driven north by Susan Tindel, 39, of Brookland.

Ronnie Tindel, 4, of Brookland was transported to NEA Medical Center, treated for injuries and released.

As of Tuesday, November 30, Susan Tindel was listed in guarded condition at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Blood samples taken from Stevens "did not indicate any alcohol" in his system. However, samples were sent to the state crime lab, and law enforcement officers are awaiting results of the toxicological tests.

No charges were filed in the case as of Tuesday.
